Staysee in Mississippi

Blog, Hogs

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone survived Thanksgiving.  My family was down for the count most of the time with the Flu bug or something…. so let’s just say I’m happy it’s gone!

Jason Sealock (Editor of FLW Outdoors Magazine) sent me some really good photos of some nice spots that he and his buddy Ricky Houston caught on a recent trip.   They were munching the Staysee 90.

Here is some of the trip details:

  • location:   Northern Mississippi (Lake name withheld to protect the innocent :) )
  • lure:   Lucky Craft Staysee 90
  • colors:   Pearl Ayu, Chartreuse and Blue
  • situation:   Deep water near rocky clay points
  • water color:   Clear
  • weather:   Worked best with a little ripple on the water.  Sun was better than clouds
  • cadence:   Short pulls of about a foot or two, then a pause.  Not a real hard jerk
  • key:   Getting the lure down to around 15 ft deep.  The fish would travel to get the bait.

Read more about this trip on Jason’s blog at FLW Outdoors.  Thanks again for the pics Jason….

Enjoy!
