I was just thinking the other day how the internet has changed the fishing industry. I know this is not a news flash of any kind but it’s still amazing… From websites, to blogs, to online retailers, videos etc.
A while ago I asked one of my employees (Cherrill) to make me a list of “online” retailers that are selling fishing lures on the web. I figured she was going to come back the next day with… 10 or so “main” sites. Well… she came back in my office about an hour later with over 60 different sites. I have no idea how many are successful or profitable but I was surprised by that number and after just a simple google search.
I saw this cartoon below and thought surely my boys will say that one day. As well as, “Dad, how could you possibly have grown up without the internet.”
