Great Day on the Allegheny

Our new friend, Jeff Knapp, sent us some images the other day, and they were too good not to share.  Tom Ference, former product manager for Gamma line, has been Jeff’s fishing guest for the past few years.  According to Jeff, Tom is quite deadly when fishing, especially when fishing his favorite lure – the Lucky Craft Pointer.  Jeff sent us the images below from the fishing trip and shared this information with us:

Tom caught the smallies while fishing “the Allegheny River in northwestern Pennsylvania about three weeks after the ice flushed out.  The water temp was in the low 40s, and Tom was fishing a Lucky Craft Pointer 128, cranking it down to its depth then doing a twitch, pause retrieve.  He caught several other good smallies that day, some out at the end of the cast and others that followed and hit when he killed the lure.”

Check out the 21-inch Allegheny smallmouth and the Pike below.

Thanks for sharing this great story with us, Jeff.
